How to use the ring light for makeup

The key is in the distance. It is not recommended that you get too close to the ring of light, since a very intense light can damage our eyesight, in addition to camouflaging the different colors of makeup making them all look almost the same.

In most cases, you will be in a sitting position when applying makeup, so it is convenient to use light rings of medium size, with a base tripod and support for your mobile.

Use filters properly

Depending on the type of skin you have, you should use cold or warm filters. It’s all a matter of taste, but generally brown skin benefits from cold filters since the contrast between the filter and the skin produces a fresher and more striking effect.

On the contrary, very white skin benefits from warm filters. If you see that you are a little pale, this filter helps you have a healthier tan appearance.

How to make a homemade makeup light ring

In case you do not have enough financial resources to acquire your ring of light, here we show you how to make a super cheap and easy one with materials that you surely have at home, the only thing you have to buy are LED lights or garlands:

MATERIALS:

  1. Cardboard
  2. Tape
  3. Two pencils
  4. Scissors
  5. Aluminum foil
  6. Yarn or wool
  7. LED lights

STEPS TO BE TAKEN:

  1. The first thing you have to do is draw a circumference on the cardboard. The size depends on how big you want your light ring. To do this, tie the two pencils with the wool (measure the wool according to the diameter of the ring), then place one of the pencils in the center of the cardboard and move the other pencil in a circular way, forming await. Then cut out the cardboard wait.
  2. Measure 5 centimeters from the edge of the cardboard sphere to the inside. Then cut out the interior. The result is a 5-centimeter thick ring, hollow inside.
  3. Cut out cardboard strips and glue them to the edges of the hoop. The result has to be a circular channel where we will stick the LED lights.
  4. Line the entire circle with aluminum foil.
  5. Attach the LED lights along the rim.
  6. Attach napkin paper to cover the ring. This causes the light to blur.
